Mobility Rebate Programs
Are you in the market for a new vehicle? Did you know that many manufacturers offer mobility rebate programs? If you're in the market for a new vehicle that will also require mobility upgrades- you may be able to apply for a rebate of up to $1000 through your dealership. These programs are not always well advertised and often your salesperson may not be aware of them. To see if your purchase is eligible for a rebate, it is usually best to ask the finance department or call the customer service department of that vehicle manufacturer.
How do these rebates work?
Although it is best to ask your specific dealership about their submission process, most work similarly. After purchasing your new vehicle you will have a window of time to complete the required mobility upgrades. This period of time varies between brands. Additionally, many will require a Doctor or Therapist prescription for these items. Once the work is completed you will submit a copy of a paid invoice from your mobility equipment provider along with your prescription and any required paperwork to your new vehicle dealership's finance department. You will then receive a rebate cheque in the mail. Even if you have not alerted your dealership prior to delivery of your new vehicle, you may still be illegible to receive a rebate.
What manufacturers offer mobility rebate programs?
Below we have compiled a list of manufacturers that offer rebate programs. This list should be used a reference only and it is not set in stone. These programs can change without notice and often do. FCA group (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat). $750 rebate to be completed within 12 months of vehicle delivery.
Ford. $1000 rebate to be completed within 6 months of vehicle delivery.
General Motors (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac). $1000 rebate to be completed within 12 months of vehicle delivery.
Honda. $600 rebate to be completed within 6 months of vehicle delivery.
Kia. $750 rebate to be completed within 3 months of vehicle delivery.
Mazda. $750 rebate to be completed within 3 months of vehicle delivery.
Mitsubishi. $500 rebate to be completed within 12 months of vehicle delivery.
Subaru. $750 rebate to be completed within 6 months of vehicle delivery.
Toyota. $1000 rebate to be completed within 12 months of vehicle delivery.
Volkswagen. $1000 rebate to be completed within 120 days of vehicle delivery.
Volvo. $1000 rebate to be completed within 6 months of vehicle delivery.
