Frequently asked questions
Yes, as all bookings are managed through Turo, you must create a profile in order to access the rental. Doing so is easy by following the steps on the website and/or smartphone app. You will require some basic information and a photo of your driver's license. Once your profile has been successfully created, you will have access to book the rental immediately.
Firstly ensure that all the details match, all addresses, names, and information must line up throughout. For example- the name of the person who created the account must also be the individual trying to proceed through the booking process with matching credit card information. Credit cards must have the same address on file as the license address and account address. Additional drivers can be added after the booking process is complete. If you are still having trouble, it is best to contact Turo support directly at 1-888-391-0460.
Yes, we do offer delivery services to Fredericton and throughout Atlantic Canada. Delivery requests to Fredericton must be made at least 3 business days in Advance, deliveries under 2 days in duration may be subject to a $25 delivery fee. For delivery outside of Fredericton, arrangements must be made at least 10 business days in advance of your rental period. Delivery is arranged by contacting us directly to obtain a quote and not through Turo. To be fully transparent, outside of Fredericton, we do not have exceptionally cost-effective delivery solutions at this time. Clients paying out of pocket are best to make other arrangements for pickup/drop-off solutions such as adjusting flights to fly in/out of Fredericton.
To book the accessible Caravans, you must be 23 or older to book a trip. However the accessible Ford Transit Connect requires drivers to be 25 or older. We apply the following additional age requirements and vehicle restrictions based on your age at the time you book a trip, not the age you’ll be when the trip takes place.
Yes, however, anyone who will be driving the vehicle must first create a Turo profile and be added as a driver to the vehicle by the preliminary account holder. This is done through the Turo site and/or smartphone application. It is highly recommended that any and and all drivers understand how to properly use the related accessible features. For more information please refer to FAQ question, "How do I use the wheelchair related equipment?"
For first time renters, it is highly recommended that all drivers and passengers responsible for securing the wheelchair user take part in a short information session on proper securement with our staff during business hours. However, if you are not able to attend in person, any and all users should watch the provided video on the TURO vehicle page under the description section.
Almost anywhere you would like, so long as the total mileage of your rental allowance allows for it. You can freely travel throughout Canada and the USA. For further restrictions on driving across borders please refer to this link- https://help.turo.com/driving-across-borders-r1rjLfrgi
Dates that have been grayed out are already booked by another renter. To move forward with your rental, you must select a rental window with consecutive available dates. Bookings are taken strictly in the order they are received and do not consider the duration. For example, if you would like to rent the vehicle for three weeks and the second week has already been booked, there is nothing we can do at this time. The remaining option would be to book it separately for the first week and a separate rental for the third week.
As standard the vehicle is not equipped with hand controls, however, hand controls may be installed into the vehicle with at least 5 business days' advanced notice of your rental. There is no fee for this service. One thing to keep in mind however is that this particular vehicle cannot be driven from a wheelchair. Any wheelchair users must first transfer into the OEM driver's seat and will require a third party to load/unload their wheelchair into the vehicle.
Both manual or power wheelchairs can be transported in the vehicle with the only limitation being the 1000lb weight capacity of the ramp and 1225lb total wheelchair occupant capacity. It is STRONGLY recommended that any wheelchair passengers have headrests mounted to their wheelchair prior to transportation. Please refer to the FAQ question "What are the dimensions of the accessible conversion?" for specific questions on dimensions.
